"With that the way the landscape in recruiting now is and the decisions these kids have to make with NIL, understanding NIL, understanding the process of recruiting, I've been on both sides," Studrawa said. "I think, No.1, I can be a benefit to those young men and their families in making the proper decision and kind of explaining the landscape to them. The second thing is, I love the game of football. My dad was a high school coach, so I've been around it my whole life. I played at Bowling Green in college. All the things that it opened up doors for in my life, I want to give back. And now I have a chance to do it and a chance to do it around elite players."

Studrawa is replacing Billy Miller, who left IMG in January to join Bill Belichick's staff at North Carolina. Miller posted a 25-3 record as IMG's head coach and had an 18-game win streak from Sept. 3, 2022 toAug. 22, 2024.

Brian Nash, IMG's Vice President of Athletics, said IMG received a lot of interest, including a former top-five NFL Draft pick, current Power Four coaches, and "elite high school coaches from across Florida."

"It speaks to the reputation of our program and the opportunity here at IMG Academy," Nash said. "After a thorough process, we ultimately felt that coach Studrawa was the perfect fit for this role. His experience, vision, and commitment to developing student-athletes align perfectly with our purpose.”

This is Studrawa's first head coaching job. He spent this past season as the offensive coordinator for the European League of Football's Cologne Centurions.

“Coach Studrawa is an incredibly impressive leader, and we believe he’s the right person to guide our student-athletes in fulfilling our purpose of empowering them to win their future," said Kyle Brey, IMG's Director of Football. "He brings a deep understanding of the college game — what it takes to succeed at that level and what college programs are looking for. That knowledge will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes as they prepare for the next step. We’re excited about Coach Studrawa and the impact he’s going to make, both on and off the field.”

Studrawa's experience includes being an offensive coordinator at Bowling Green (2003-05) and LSU (2011-12). Two of his offenses at Bowling Green averaged more than 490 yards per game.

Despite his past experience, Studrawa said he doesn't plan to call plays.

"I've got to get to know those guys on staff. From what I understand, it's a tremendous staff," he said. "What we have to do is make sure that what we do on offense and defense is what the kids can do and the coaches believe in it.

"There’s things that we’re going to be. We’re going to be fundamentally sound, were going to block, and we're going to tackle. We're going to take care of the ball. There are certain non-negotiable things that are going to happen."

Studrawa has worked under several high-profile college coaches, including Hall of Famers Urban Meyer and John Cooper, national champions Les Miles and Ryan Day, and Randy Edsall.

"What I've learned is diving into the players," Studrawa said. "All those guys were different. Les was different than Urban. Totally different. Ryan was different than Randy Edsall. Totally different. All those guys went about winning, but the thing I learned that every single had was dive into the kids. Dive into the players head first.

"You have to get involved in every aspect of their life. Their moms should know my name. There’s organization and motivation and all those things are in there, but the No. 1 thing is dive into those kids wholeheartedly. Yeah, we'll teach you football, that's two hours a day. But we're going to teach you life so you have the ability to grab your future. All those guys were fantastic in having everybody dive into the players to develop that trust. If they trust you and know you have their back, you're going to win."
