This flag was displayed on a cubicle wall during a virtual meeting, behind one of Taylor’s staff members, Angelo Elia. Other items, such as a pocket constitution and a congressional calendar, were also pinned nearby. However, it's currently unclear if Elia had any involvement with the flag's display.
Representative Taylor swiftly condemned the image, stating that it does not reflect the values of his office. He immediately launched a thorough investigation alongside Capitol Police. The investigation is ongoing, and no further comments will be provided until it is completed.
According to Politico, the flag was discovered on Tuesday afternoon inside Taylor’s suite in the Cannon building on Capitol Hill. The congressman suspects foul play or vandalism, as stated by his spokesperson.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, the discovery comes on the heels of another troubling report. Politico revealed a Telegram chat where Young Republican leaders allegedly exchanged racist comments, mocked the Holocaust, and expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler.
